Burkwit Music, LLC is the umbrella for all things Kevin and Jennine Burkwit. Burkwit Music encompasses the following entities:

In Sackcloth & Ashes: Our Praise and Worship Duo/Band. One of our greatest passions is bringing all we can to the Lord through our music. We are currently working on releasing our first single and album and available for praise and worship at adoration nights, retreats, parish missions, and conferences.

Wild & Free: Our secular music duo/band writing, recording, and performing original music, as well as playing crowd-favorite covers, at all of your favorite local spots throughout South Florida and beyond.

Burkwit Music- Piano, Voice, and Guitar lessons: We currently have some openings for virtual lessons, or in person in South Fort Myers/Estero area and in Naples in Southwest Florida.

Kevin and Jennine BUrkwit

Kevin Burkwit is an excellent guitarist for our husband and wife praise and worship duo, In Sackcloth & Ashes. Kevin been playing guitar for over 20 years and studied music and guitar as an undergraduate at Canisius College in Buffalo, NY and earned a Masters in Education from Niagara University. He is a certified teacher for the state of Florida and has been teaching 7th Civics for the past 8 years while teaching guitar to private students after school. Besides playing guitar at Saint John the Evangelist at the Sunday 5pm Contemporary Mass and Encounter on the Mountain, he is also a guitar teacher for Burkwit Music, LLC.

Jennine Burkwit has been singing at church since her first solo in the second grade! Blessed with an anointed voice, she has been singing in churches internationally and around the country ever since. She has recorded two albums and currently working on a contemporary Christian album with her husband, guitarist, Kevin Burkwit as In Sackcloth & Ashes. She currently resides in Southwest Florida where Jennine is the contemporary Mass director at Saint Agnes Catholic Church and cantoring Masses at various churches in the area, teaches piano and voices lessons with Burkwit Music, LLC, the worship leader and pianist for In Sackloth and Ashes as well as lead singer for Wild & Free. Jennine's passion of music and her deep Catholic faith has become a powerful combination in prayerfully organizing and structuring praise and adoration nights for parishes around the country. She organized the first Praise and Adoration night in Southwest Florida.These Holy Hours are filled with reflective praise and worship music, confessions, reflection, meditation, and so much more. She is masterful at following the guidance of the Holy Spirit to co-create a night aligned with your parish's needs. See our Praise and Worship tab for more information.

Jennine Burkwit is also a piano and voice teacher in South Fort Myers area for children and teens ages 6-18. Jennine has her Bachelors in Music Education and a Masters in Education. She is a National Guild of Piano member where her piano students are able to be tested and work towards a certification with the Piano Guild. She has been teaching privately for over 18 years.
